Please share a memory of Louise to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Louise Rafaela Sculco, age 96, of Montville, on April 10, 2024

Louise Sculco (nee Pellegrino) was born and raised in Cliffside Park. The daughter of Fioravanti and Rosina Pellegrino (nee Corrado). She later resided in Palisades Park for more than 50 years, then moved to Hawthorne, New Jersey for 16 years and finally settled in at the Chelsea/Mira Vie Montville, New Jersey.

Louise graduated Cliffside Park High School in 1945, and In 1951 she was happily married for 30 years to her loving husband Salvatore Anthony Sculco (1981). Louise was the cherished mother of Vincenza Piepoli and her husband John Michael Piepoli. She was the loving grandmother of John Salvatore Piepoli and his wife Samantha who are expecting their firstborn in August. Louise was overjoyed to learn this news. She was also grandma to many pets including Kitty and Roxy, numerous fish, parakeets, frogs and great grandma to Lincoln Archibald. Predeceased by brothers Louis, James, Frank and John Pellegrino and sisters Rose Ferrara and Concetta Rea.  Survived by many dear nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Louise worked for Bell Telephone Company as an operator for many years until she retired to be the caregiver for her father-in-law Carlo and mother-in-law Vincenza Sculco. She was a daily Church goer, and enjoyed her church communities and activities at Epiphany, St. Michael's, and St Anthony's churches over the years. She most recently appreciated the St. Pius X services held each Monday at The Mira Vie.  Louise enjoyed her senior clubs, especially adult day care at Christian healthcare, the Golden Circle club in Hawthorne, and those casino trips to Atlantic City!  She was overjoyed to be an
"honorary sister" to Carmela Piepoli, Tret Spizzirri,  Antonette Ferreri, and Jenny Scalia.  She enjoyed Jersey shore vacations, sing-alongs, eating out, shopping, family gatherings, poker, bingo, dusting, volunteering, and ice cream (2 scoops).

Her most endearing and faithful love, was that for The Lord. We will miss gentle, sweet Louise, and somewhere in the distance you may hear her singing “You are my sunshine" May she rest in peace with her dear Salvatore and those who have gone before.
