Obituary of Thomas John Schneberger Sr.

Thomas (Tom) John Schneberger

September 13, 1947—-April 4, 2024

Tom (76) passed away on April 4^th and was preceded in death, on March 1^st, by his loving wife of 22 years, Joanne Iovino-Schneberger. 

Tom was born in Passaic, NJ on September 13, 1947 to his parents, Joseph and Nettie Schneberger (Simoldoni). He is survived by his son Tom and his wife Jennifer with their daughters Taylore and Rachel, his son Erik and his wife Tara with their daughters Camryn, Jordyn and Reese, and his sister Patricia Gelinski and her husband Edward.  Tom was a loving stepfather to John and his wife Rhonda with their children Brandon and Amanda, Thomas and his wife Lisa with their sons Dominic and Steven, and Michael and his wife Lynn with their sons Braden and Tanner.

Tom was raised in Saddle Brook, NJ and throughout his life lived in New Jersey, Mexico City and Pennsylvania before retiring to Florida.  He graduated from Saddle Brook High School in 1967.  Following three years of service in the United States Army, Tom earned a B.S. from Montclair State University in 1972.  He had a very successful career as an executive  in Finance. Towards the end of his career, Tom went back to earn a master’s degree in financial planning from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

Baseball, music, and education filled Tom's life with joy, but nothing compared to the happiness he found in being a grandpa. Each giggle and hug from his grandkids was a treasure, a role he cherished deeply and played with all his heart.

Visitation will be held at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home from 10 AM-12 PM on Monday April 15^th, 2024.  Burial to follow in Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Kennedy’s Disease Association (www.kennedysdisease.org).
